They were gifted an easy victory last Friday as Laytonville wound up forfeiting 0-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for Upper Lake as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing zero points in their last match, Point Arena made sure to put some points up on the board against Roseland University Prep. Point Arena came out on top in a nail-biter against Roseland University Prep, sneaking past 46-44. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Their wins bumped Upper Lake to 1-6 and Point Arena to 3-2. Two forfeits in a row aren't very likely, so Upper Lake better be ready for a battle.
