After each having a week off, the New Canaan Rams and the Darien Blue Wave will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
Last Friday, New Canaan was fully in charge, breezing past Bridgeport Central 42-6. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ben Rolapp continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 390 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 41 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kevin Roche, who picked up 154 receiving yards and a touchdown.
New Canaan's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points per game. As for Darien, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
