The Hoke County Bucks lost against the Southern Lee Cavaliers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hoke County fell 61-53 to Southern Lee. Hoke County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Hoke County saw an underclassman step up: Darius Breeden scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Breeden has scored all season. Jaylen Sturdivant was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Hoke County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Southern Lee, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Union Pines the next time they take the court. Hoke County will host Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Southern Lee will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
