Lake Forest is a perfect 3-0 against Lake Forest Academy since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Scouts will venture away from home to take on the Caxys at 10:00 a.m. Lake Forest will be strutting in after a victory while Lake Forest Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Lake Forest lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Grayslake Central, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Scouts were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Rams on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Scouts as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Hudson Scroggins looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Lake Forest got a massive performance out of Luke Pasquesi, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lake Forest has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lake Forest Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Lake Forest took their victory against Lake Forest Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Scouts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Caxys turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
