The Wyoming Area Warriors will square off against the Holy Redeemer Royals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Holy Redeemer will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Wyoming Area extended their winning streak to five on Friday. The Warriors put the hurt on Berwick with a sharp 12-3 win.
Wyoming Area got a great performance from Kristian Pugliese as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alex Vacula, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Speicher, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Wyoming Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Holy Redeemer, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over MMI Preparatory School on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Royals considering their one-run performance the game before.
Nick Mazzarella made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Mazzarella was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cody Quaglia was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Alex Gordon was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Holy Redeemer pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Wyoming Area, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Wyoming Area came out on top in a nail-biter against Holy Redeemer in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
