The Miramonte Matadors will head out on the road to challenge the Campolindo Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Campolindo took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Miramonte, who comes in off a win.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Miramonte and Mt. Diablo have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Matadors walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Red Devils. The win continues a trend for the Matadors in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Abby Warren spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Gianna Granzella was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Talia Hagan was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Miramonte hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Campolindo's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Las Lomas, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Miramonte pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Campolindo, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Miramonte has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .461. However, it's not like Campolindo struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Miramonte's way against Campolindo in their previous matchup back in April, as Miramonte made off with a 16-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Matadors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
