Sehome was handed a heart-breaking two-run  loss in their last  contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Squalicum  on Tuesday. Sehome blew past Squalicum 21-3. The Mariners have beaten the Storm the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Storm has come to flipping the script.
 Sarah Kruzich made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base.
 In other batting news, Sehome got a  massive  performance out of  Jacinta Lewis, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Lewis also  hit a  triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Jordan Walker, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Sehome  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .558. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Squalicum only posted  an  OBP of  .304.
Sehome's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Squalicum, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the  defeat, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sehome is set to  take on  their familiar foe Meridian  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Squalicum will  challenge  rival Ferndale  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
