Bard will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Belleville Buccaneers at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Bard won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They were dealt a 63-33 defeat at the hands of Carteret. While losing is never fun, Bard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 626th in New York, while the Ramblers are ranked 275th in New Jersey).
Meanwhile, Belleville took a serious blow against the Millers on Thursday, falling 71-44. Belleville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bard now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Belleville, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9.
Bard suffered a grim 74-52 defeat to the Buccaneers in their previous meeting back in January of 2016. Can Bard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
