There's no place like home for the Milford Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They took down Green River 70-56 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading Milford to victory were Tanu Aaitui and Sadler Barnes. Aaitui scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Barnes dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aaitui has scored all season. Kielen Tsosie was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Milford's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Green River, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.
Milford will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Panguitch at 7:00 p.m. Panguitch knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Milford likes a good challenge. As for Green River, they will head out on the road to take on Caprock Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Caprock Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 296th in Colorado, while Green River is ranked 103rd in Utah).
