Edmonds-Woodway has gone 9-1 against Shorecrest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will face off against the Scots at 6:30 p.m. Edmonds-Woodway is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
Edmonds-Woodway barely beat Archbishop Murphy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Wildcats on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Ella Campbell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noa Gillespie, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Ava Whisenhunt also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Shorecrest can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past Lynnwood 27-4. The game marked the Scots' most dominant victory of the season.
Like Edmonds-Woodway, Shorecrest also got a great game from a two-way player: Chloe Gurnee. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Gurnee has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Riu Hanrahan was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Lyla Ann Taing was another key player, scoring five runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
Shorecrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Shorecrest's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 4-8. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their record now sits at 8-3.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Edmonds-Woodway has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .461. However, it's not like Shorecrest struggles in that department as they've averaged .492. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Edmonds-Woodway's way against Shorecrest in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Edmonds-Woodway made off with a 16-10 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
