After a string of four wins, the Grace Academy Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 72-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shalom Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carson Feeser, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Feeser hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Ciardiello, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Grace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Shalom Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Grace Academy will head out on the road to take on GVCS Broadfording at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully GVCS Broadfording focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Monday. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cumberland Valley Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumberland Valley Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
