Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Unity Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marian Catholic Spartans. While the Phoenix didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 16-9 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Unity Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Aiden Robinson, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. With that strong performance, Robinson is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi O'Neal, who posted ten points and three steals.

Unity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Marian Catholic, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Unity Christian Academy will take on Peoria Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marian Catholic, they will be playing at home against Nazareth Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
