Even though the East Hartford Hornets scored an imposing 76 points on Monday, the Manchester Red Hawks still came out on top. Manchester snuck past East Hartford with a 81-76 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Manchester.
Derrick Sheets continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. He hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Jayveon Robinson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Manchester pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for East Hartford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester will challenge Hall at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Hall is ranked 29th, while Manchester is ranked 19th). As for East Hartford, they will head out on the road to challenge Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
