The Ada Cougars won the last time they faced the Seminole Chieftains, and things went their way on Friday too. Ada enjoyed a cozy 61-46 victory over Seminole. Given Ada's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Seminole is ranked 315th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ada was led to victory by Carter Colombe and Keith Cook. Colombe dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Cook dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Colombe continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Caron Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Ada has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Seminole, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Ada will square off against Millwood at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Seminole will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
