The Bay Path RVT Minutemen will head out on the road to challenge the Nipmuc Regional Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bay Path RVT will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Nipmuc Regional is ranked 91st).
Bay Path RVT unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 65-53 to Auburn. Even though they lost, Bay Path RVT's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.1 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite their defeat, Bay Path RVT saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Peter Barbale, who scored 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. Dale Nussey was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Nipmuc Regional unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Uxbridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nipmuc Regional has scored all season.
Like Bay Path RVT, Nipmuc Regional lost despite seeing results from several players. Logan DeMarzo led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was James McKinney, who scored ten points.
Bay Path RVT now has a losing record at 8-9. Nipmuc Regional's record now sits at 10-4.
