With a playoff game on the line, the Alpine Bucks rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past Brady with a 29-23 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Alpine, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Devon Rojo threw for 98 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Reese Ahrens was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Logan Smith rushed for 108 yards.
Despite the loss, Brady still got an impressive performance from Zeke Jones, who rushed for 187 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Jones was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Daryl Adair also helped out as he racked up 104 rushing yards.
Alpine is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Brady, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Alpine will head out on the road to face off against Idalou at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Idalou has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 116 points over their last three contests. Brady does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
