Owasso has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Union Redhawks at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Owasso is ranked highly in their home state, and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of North Little Rock. Owasso walked away with a 71-59 win over North Little Rock.
Owasso's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jax Kerr, who scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kerr has scored at least 25% of Owasso's points. Another player making a difference was Jalen Montonati, who scored 25 points.
Meanwhile, Union had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped two weeks ago as they easily beat Bartlesville 67-32 on the road.
Fayetteville's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Owasso's defeat dropped theirs to 4-1.
Owasso was able to grind out a solid victory over Union in their previous meeting back in February, winning 71-62. Does Owasso have another victory up their sleeve, or will Union turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
