The Forest Grove Vikings will take on the Central Catholic Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Forest Grove is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since May 2, 2025 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Jesuit.

Kherington Wright spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Grace Arruda, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cali Davis, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Central Catholic had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Southridge 7-6 on Wednesday.
Portland Razo was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Faye Gordon was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Forest Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Everything went Forest Grove's way against Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Forest Grove made off with a 14-4 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
