Baseball Recap: Lubbock Gets the Win

Lubbock won the last time they faced Caprock and things went their way on Friday too. The Westerners had just enough and edged out the Longhorns 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Westerners.

Lubbock's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Trevino, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Richard Woodard also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Lubbock picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-13. As for Caprock, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Coincidentally, Lubbock and Caprock will both be playing Tascosa the next time they take the field. The Longhorns will host the Rebels at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Westerners will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
