Basketball Recap: River Ridge Finds Playoff Glory Versus Pasco

With a playoff win on the line, River Ridge rose to the challenge on Monday. They strolled past the Pasco Pirates with points to spare, taking the game 83-66. The victory was some much needed relief for the Royal Knights as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Leading River Ridge to victory were Jacob Yeager and John Golden. Yeager went 6 of 11 en route to 22 points and six assists, while Golden posted 17 points and seven rebounds. Yeager's morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tommy DeLoreto, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 13 points and five boards.

River Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Pasco lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jeremiah Miller, who went 10 of 14 en route to 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Miller has posted since back in December of 2024. TJ Gebru was another key player, going 8 for 15 on his way to 19 points and five steals.

River Ridge's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Pasco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12.

River Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 76-45 defeat against Wesley Chapel on the 5th. Pasco does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
