For the second straight game, Nichols will face off against Canisius. The Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nichols is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Carter Erzkus also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Canisius kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.

Canisius has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Nichols, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Nichols has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. However, it's not like Canisius struggles in that department as they've averaged .470. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
