There's no place like home for the Granville Central Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They snuck past J.F. Webb with a 77-71 victory on Friday. Given Granville Central's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while J.F. Webb is ranked 535th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

J.F. Webb's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jabari Hunter, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 1 assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Wright, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists.

Granville Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Carrboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Granville Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for J.F. Webb, they will head out on the road to take on Durham School of the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. J.F. Webb knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Durham School of the Arts likes a good challenge.
