After losing to Statesville the last time they met, North Lincoln decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The North Lincoln Knights strolled past the Statesville Greyhounds with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 68-49. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on six straight.

North Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ben Heavner, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points along with eight boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Sanders, who posted 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Heavner wasn't the only one working in the assists department: North Lincoln was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Statesville only racked up 13 assists.

Statesville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Manuel (MJ) Gladden, who had 15 points and seven boards. Kevin Bryant was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

North Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points per game. As for Statesville, they moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

North Lincoln will challenge Hickory at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Lincoln's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 games. As for Statesville, they will venture away from home to challenge East Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Statesville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.3 points per game this season.
