On Thursday, Pioneer was beaten by Bishop Timon-St. Jude 101-52.
Leading Bishop Timon-St. Jude to victory were Nakyhi Harris and Jaiden Harrison. Harris scored 25 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Harrison shot 7-for-9 from long range and dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harrison has scored at least 25% of Bishop Timon-St. Jude's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Hicks, who scored 14 points.
Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Bishop Timon-St. Jude, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Pioneer will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake Shore at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Bishop Timon-St. Jude will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against McKinley at 2:00 p.m. on December 29th. McKinley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Bishop Timon-St. Jude is ranked 28th).
