Statesboro extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 3A this week by beating Swainsboro, 34-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Statesboro took down the Tigers 34-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Liberty County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Waters threw for 42 yards and Jeremy Caldwell-Fabregas had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Waters contributed 73 yards. Richard Lecounte helped Liberty County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 12 yards.

South Effingham's Tyler Pullum and Taylor Donavan have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pullum has thrown for 891 yards this season, while Donavan has 16 catches for 346 yards. Liberty County's Trentice Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 499.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Statesboro takes on second place Liberty County. Steve Pennington's team defeated Swainsboro last week, while Kirk Warner's team topped the Spartans.
The Panthers' offense has racked up 199 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Blue Devils have allowed only 48 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Liberty County takes on Statesboro. The Panthers have allowed 72 points this season, while the Blue Devils have given up 48. Liberty County allowed 19 points last week as it bested Glenn Hills.
The Panthers and Tim McClain's team played the closest game in AAAA Region 3A this week, with the Panthers eventually emerging with a 21-19 victory. Waters ran for 73 yards in the win.
