Baseball Recap: Anclote's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Anclote can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the IMG Academy White Ascenders by a score of 9-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 back in February.

Anthony Ramos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Ramos was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Paul Ramos was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. William Dawson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Anclote always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Anclote's record is now 6-16. As for IMG Academy White, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-12.

Coming up, Anclote is taking a road trip to face off against Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Packers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Sharks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for IMG Academy White, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against St. Petersburg Catholic at 7:00 p.m.
