The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Florence Christian in their matchups with Pee Dee Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Florence Christian saw an underclassman step up: Emerson Poston scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That was a full 50% of Florence Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Florence Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Pee Dee Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Pee Dee Academy will host Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Florence Christian will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
