Baseball Recap: Westlake Wins Going Away Against Ogden

Westlake's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Ogden Tigers 9-1. The Thunder's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Max Loveless was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Teegan Adams, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Westlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ogden only posted an OBP of .269.

The victory got Westlake back to even at 2-2. As for Ogden, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Westlake will head out to face off against Bountiful at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ogden will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roy at 3:00 p.m. on March 21st.
