This season hasn't been kind to The Chaparral Lobos, who are still winless after their ninth game. They took a 22-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Teresa. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chaparral in their matchups with Santa Teresa: they've now lost six in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Ulysses Montes, who picked up 171 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Montes' longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. Nicholas Vierra was another key contributor, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Chaparral's defeat was their 19th straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 5.7 points per game. As for Santa Teresa, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.
