Northview extended the longest winning streak in Ottawa-Kent - Bronze this week by beating Greenville, 27-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Wildcats.
West Catholic led the league in scoring this week after putting up 36 points on Forest Hills Northern.
Northview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Robbie Meadows threw for 135 and two touchdowns and Blake Bockheim had 57 yards receiving. On the ground Brandon Lawrence chipped in 92 yards. Devon Houston helped Northview's passing attack out by catching three balls for 50 yards.
Northview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Meadows has thrown for 505 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Chad Walton has 12 catches for 238 yards. Lawrence leads the league in rushing with 823 yards.
Two of the top units in Ottawa-Kent - Bronze will face off this week when Greg Ganfield's team takes on Cedar Springs. The Wildcats' offense has recorded 183 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Red Hawks have permitted only 191 on the year.
Northview made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,544 from 2,908. The advance stemmed from a 27-14 victory over the Yellowjackets last week.
