Baseball Recap: C. Milton Wright Wins Going Away Against Harford Tech

C. Milton Wright's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Harford Tech Cobras as they made off with a 10-2 victory. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Cobras last Wednesday, they had to take a 16-0 loss.

Owen Davis looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Ryan Herman was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for C. Milton Wright: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Emerson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

C. Milton Wright lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

C. Milton Wright is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Harford Tech, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. C. Milton Wright will head out to take on Arundel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Harford Tech, they will challenge Havre de Grace at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
