Stafford was led to victory by Sean Hopkins and Zion Bacchus. Hopkins scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds, while Bacchus scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Deandre Monroe was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
King George's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Colson Clary, who scored 7 points along with 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Christon Jones, who scored 6 points along with 4 blocks.
Stafford's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for King George, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Stafford will head out on the road to face off against Woodbridge at 7:15 p.m. on December 6th. As for King George, they will be playing at home against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
