There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. We'll dive into that and more in this week's report.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
Eureka was the better team in every quarter against Seckman last week and consequently the better team overall. Everything went Eureka's way against Seckman as it secured a 70 - 6 win. Eureka's margin of victory (64 points) marked the biggest win the team has had all season. With ten consecutive wins, Eureka boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.
This Week's Top Game
On paper, the match between Howell (33rd in the state) and Blue Springs South (13th) looked as though it might be one of the more compelling ones, but things did not play out that way on the field. Howell has to be hurting after a devastating 48 - 20 defeat at the hands of Blue Springs South. As a result, Howell fell three positions in the power rankings.
Upcoming Drama
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Edwardsville (43rd in the state) and Huntley (8th). The last time they met, Edwardsville really took it to Collinsville, winning 49 - 0. Can Edwardsville repeat its success? We'll find out this Saturday.
