Dillon lost against Loris on January 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dillon Wildcats were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Loris Lions. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Dillon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zamaurious Robertson, who posted 13 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Fling, who put up ten points and four steals.

Loris' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but KHALIL SHERMAN led the charge by going 7 for 12 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. SHERMAN also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was JACOBIEN LEWIS, who went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points along with six boards and three steals.

Dillon's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Loris, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Aynor the next time they take the court. Loris will head out to face Aynor at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Dillon will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
