The Kennedy Eagles were the 64-63 winner over the Crosby Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Kennedy took a serious blow against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 93-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kennedy has scored all season.
Terrance Morrison and Juan Fernandez certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Morrison scored 11 points along with six steals, while Fernandez scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Morrison is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. Brandon Brooks was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
It was another big night for Curtis Ellis, who scored 18 points along with two steals and two blocks for Crosby. Ellis is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Khani Glenn, who scored ten points along with three blocks and two steals.
Kennedy has fallen quite a ways from their 18-6 record last season and are now at 4-9. As for Crosby, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 66.86 points so far this season, Seymour's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Eagles better be ready for a challenge. As for Crosby, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
