North Rowan is 2-8 against Salisbury since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Cavaliers will host the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. North Rowan has given up an average of 15.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, North Rowan turned things around against Lexington on Thursday. They walked away with a 17-12 victory over the Yellowjackets. The Cavaliers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chase Cauble and Caleb Everett were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Cauble struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Everett tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Cauble has posted since back in March. At bat, Cauble got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Everett went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Cauble is becoming a predictor of North Rowan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 0-10 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zane Smith, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. North Rowan is 3-1 when Smith posts two or more runs, but 1-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dylan Garrigus, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
North Rowan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Salisbury came up short against Atkins on Wednesday and fell 8-4.
North Rowan's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Salisbury, they dropped their record down to 6-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
