Baseball Recap: Blackfoot Snags 11th Win in Last 14 Games

There's no place like home for Blackfoot, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let the Shelley Russets get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Broncos have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Blackfoot got a great performance from Cash Dahle as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Dahle a new career-high.

At the plate, Jason Williams was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin Ross, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Blackfoot always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Blackfoot is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Shelley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-19.

As of now, neither Blackfoot nor the Russets have any future games scheduled.
