Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Boone Central

Boone Central entered their tilt with Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats with a 58-54 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 26th).

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Koenig's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Cheatum, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Boone Central is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
