The University Prep Panthers waltzed into their game Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 56-51 victory over Enterprise. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as University Prep did.
Peter Rundle was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Scott Steffan, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.
Ja'Kye Rawls and Wes Ramirez certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Rawls scored 19 points, while Ramirez scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The game was Ramirez's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Jake Blankenship was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
University Prep now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Enterprise, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Prep is on the road again on Thursday and play against Seabury Hall at 4:00 p.m. on January 4th. Enterprise and Foothill will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
