Covenant Christian is a perfect 7-0 against Indianapolis Kings since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will be playing at home against Indianapolis Kings at 5:30 p.m. Covenant Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Covenant Christian came out on top against Monrovia on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Warriors walked away with an 8-5 win over the Bulldogs. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Blake Cope was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Covenant Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 10-1 (and 6-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Eagen, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis Kings waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Patriots 12-2. Indianapolis Kings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by eight runs or more this season.
Levi Mossbarger tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Indianapolis Kings let Ryker Brenneman and Jace Jenkins run wild. Brenneman went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Jenkins got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Brenneman has posted since back in April. Luke Hightower was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Indianapolis Kings' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Covenant Christian, their win bumped their record up to 16-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Covenant Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Indianapolis Kings struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Covenant Christian took their victory against Indianapolis Kings in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will Indianapolis Kings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
