Lumberton has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Bowling Green Buccaneers at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Lumberton was the victim of a tough 50-24 loss at the hands of Oak Grove. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lumberton has scored all season.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Bowling Green, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-51 loss to Christian Home Educators Fellowship on Monday. While losing is never fun, Bowling Green can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Christian Home Educators Fellowship is ranked 28th).
Lumberton's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Bowling Green, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
