The West Side Pirates lost against the Malad Dragons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. West Side had to suffer through a rough 71-35 loss at the hands of Malad. West Side has not had much luck with Malad recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why West Side lost, one person who can't be blamed is Holly Kropf. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kropf has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tommi Henderson, who scored eight points.
West Side's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Malad, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.
West Side does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Malad, they will head out on the road to take on Soda Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
