Meanwhile, Capitan made easy work of Dora on Friday and carried off a 26-7 victory. The win was just what Capitan needed coming off of a 15-3 defeat in their prior match.
Like Elida, Capitan also got a great game from a two-way player: Logan Ritter. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Ritter was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in four of his eight plate appearances.
In other batting news, Capitan got a massive performance out of Aiden Smith, who went 4-for-6 with six stolen bases, six RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Jack Emerson-Betti, who went 4-for-6 with a home run, six RBI, and four runs.
