After a string of four wins, the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clermont Northeastern. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clermont Northeastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Yeager, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and two blocks. Yeager is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Symon Mattes, who scored 13 points.
Fayetteville-Perry's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8. As for Clermont Northeastern, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Fayetteville-Perry will be playing in front of their home fans against Manchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Manchester is ranked 537th, while Fayetteville-Perry is ranked 543rd). As for Clermont Northeastern, they will head out on the road to square off against Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Georgetown and Clermont Northeastern are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
