4A Region II District 15 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Waxahachie moved up to 91 from 253 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region II District 15. The Indians climbed the ranks as a result of a 36-12 win over Corsicana.
Waxahachie was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, David Ream's team triumphed over the Tigers 36-12.
Mansfield Legacy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Broncos feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brady Burke has thrown for 738 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Marchie Murdock has 22 catches for 288 yards. Kijana Amous leads the league in rushing with 447 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region II District 15 this week will be when Lancaster takes on Mansfield Legacy. At the moment, the Tigers are in first, while the Broncos are in fourth.
