Baseball Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Victorious

Saint Ignatius College Prep posted their closest victory since May 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Holy Trinity Tigers 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Wolfpack, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ryan Sexton looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Jacob Jelinek was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Saint Ignatius College Prep's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
