When it comes to explaining why Two Rivers lost, one person who can't be blamed is Izzy Kirchner. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with four steals. The contest was Kirchner's third in a row with at least ten points. Elayna Vannett was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Cretin-Derham Hall's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Two Rivers, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cretin-Derham Hall and Forest Lake will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Forest Lake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three matches. Two Rivers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against South St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
