It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the North Crowley Panthers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past Keller with points to spare, taking the game 42-26. North Crowley's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
North Crowley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashton Searl, who rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Jimerson, who threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Keller still got an impressive performance from Beckham Robinson, who threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns.
North Crowley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Keller, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
North Crowley will square off against Permian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Permian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 91st, while North Crowley is ranked fifth). Keller does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
