Lakeview is 1-8 against Milford since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lakeview Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Milford Eagles at 7:13 p.m. Lakeview is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
On Saturday, Lakeview came up short against Scotus and fell 49-36. Lakeview has not had much luck with Scotus recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Milford, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-48 loss to Boys Town on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Milford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Boys Town is ranked 70th).
Lakeview has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Milford, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
Lakeview came up short against Milford in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 36-32. Can Lakeview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
