The Benjamin Davis Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Dekaney Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benjamin Davis has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Benjamin Davis fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Spring on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 11-10. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Darwin Virtudazo was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-6.
In other batting news, Adan Ramirez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-6. Benjamin Davis is 2-1 when Ramirez posts two or more runs, but 3-6-1 otherwise. Devin Simth was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
Even though they lost, Benjamin Davis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Dekaney beat Westfield 6-3 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Micah Green was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Martinez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Dekaney's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Benjamin Davis, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 5-7-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Benjamin Davis has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Dekaney struggles in that department as they've averaged .459. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Benjamin Davis skirted past Dekaney 7-6 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Benjamin Davis since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
